Our crews are trained directly by Malarkey Roofing Products. Certification is what lets us register the manufacturer warranty on your behalf, and it means the installation was done to the spec that warranty depends on.

Four Things To Check On Any Bid
The Decking Rate In Writing
This is the one that costs people money. Rotted sheathing stays invisible until the old roof comes off, so a bid that leaves the replacement rate blank is a bid with an open number inside it. Get the per-sheet price on the estimate before the crew shows up.
Ventilation In The Scope
Intake and exhaust affect how long the roof lasts. Manufacturers can tie warranty coverage to it.
A Licence Number On The Estimate
Oregon requires it. Check any CCB number through the Construction Contractors Board public lookup before signing.
Workmanship Warranty Stated Separately
Malarkey warrants the shingle. The contractor warrants the installation. Ask for the second one in years, and ask what voids it.

Roof Cost Questions
How long does a roof replacement take?
Most single family homes are done in one to two days.
Do I need to replace, or can I repair?
Most roof problems do not need a full replacement. We diagnose repairs the same way we handle full installs, and active leaks get same-week scheduling. If your roof has another ten years in it, we will tell you.
What about moss?
Moss and clogged gutters quietly destroy more roofs in Oregon and Washington than anything else. Moss lifts shingles and holds moisture against the deck. Caught early it is a treatment. Caught late it is a tear-off. We use products that are safe for landscaping, pets and the people who live there.
Why Malarkey shingles?
Malarkey manufactures in Portland, so the product is engineered for this climate rather than shipped into it. We are a Certified Pro Contractor, number 5838, which means the crews are trained by Malarkey directly and your manufacturer warranty gets registered on your behalf.
Do you handle insurance claims?
We come out for a free damage inspection and document everything with photos and a written report. You file the claim with your insurer. We can meet your adjuster on site to walk them through the physical damage and our scope of repair. We do not negotiate the claim or advise you on it, because Oregon reserves that work for licensed public adjusters.

What warranty do I get?
Two. Malarkey warrants the materials, and we register that warranty for you after the job. Our workmanship warranty covers the installation.
How accurate is the instant estimate?
It measures your roof from current aerial imagery, so square footage and pitch are usually close. What it cannot see is decking condition, how many layers are up there, and the state of the ventilation. Those are what move a final number, which is why the in-person inspection still happens.
